WHAT TO EXPECT
Dr. Schultz uses hyaluronic acid–based fillers to enhance the lips, favoring their precision and adjustability. The procedure takes 15–30 minutes and produces immediate, natural-looking results with minimal swelling. Because filler allows for fine-tuned control, adjustments can be made in millimeters, perfect for an area where proportion and shape are delicate. Lip augmentation is performed in-office under topical numbing for comfort. Mild swelling may occur for 24–48 hours before settling into a soft, natural shape.
Patients are able to return to their normal activities immediately. Ice helps reduce swelling for the first 24 hours, and patients are asked to avoid straws or puckering their lips for the first 24 to 48 hours for optimal results. Results typically last 6–12 months.
RECOVERY AND HEALING
