BREAST AUGMENTATION
Breast augmentation is a highly personalized procedure designed to enhance the size, shape, and balance of the breasts while maintaining natural proportion and softness. For many patients, it is not simply about increasing volume, but about restoring harmony, confidence, and femininity in a way that feels completely authentic.

DR. SCHULTZ'S APPROACH
Dr. Kelly Schultz’s goal in any breast augmentation is to create natural, refined results that complement each patient’s anatomy, lifestyle, and aesthetic vision. Every detail from implant selection to implant placement is guided by artistry, precision, and a deep understanding of feminine aesthetics.

A MODERN AESTHETIC: "BALLERINA" OR "YOGA" BREASTS
In recent years, there’s been a shift toward a more understated and athletic look—often referred to as the ballerina or yoga breast aesthetic. This style celebrates soft, natural curves, refined cleavage, and elegant proportions that move seamlessly with the body.
For many women, this means choosing smaller implants or subtle volume restoration that enhances the upper body while maintaining a graceful, feminine silhouette. The result feels effortless, balanced, and timeless, aligned with today’s modern ideals of beauty and strength.
WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE
Breast augmentation may be ideal for patients who:
-
Desire fuller, more balanced breasts
-
Have lost volume due to pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight changes
-
Seek to correct asymmetry or shape differences
-
Want to restore proportion and enhance their overall silhouette
-
Are in good health and have realistic expectations
Whether the goal is subtle enhancement or fuller rejuvenation, Dr. Schultz tailors each surgery to reflect her patient’s body, preferences, and lifestyle.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT IMPLANT PLACEMENT
Selecting the ideal implant plane is a key part of achieving a natural look and long-lasting result. There is no single “best” approach as each technique offers unique advantages depending on your anatomy, lifestyle, and desired outcome.
SUBMUSCULAR (UNDER THE MUSCLE) OR DUAL-PLANE PLACEMENT
The implant is placed partially beneath the pectoralis major muscle, offering a soft, gradual slope and natural upper pole contour. It may reduce visibility and rippling, particularly for women with limited natural breast tissue.
SUBGLANDULAR (OVER THE MUSCLE)
The implant sits directly beneath the breast tissue, which can be ideal for women with more natural volume or in revision cases. It provides slightly more fullness in the upper breast but may show more contour in thinner patients.
SUBFASCIAL
A newer technique where the implant is placed beneath the thin fascia layer over the muscle. It combines the softness of subglandular placement with the support of submuscular positioning without risk of animation deformity.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Breast augmentation is typically performed under general anesthesia and takes about one hour. Incisions are placed discreetly, most often in the inframammary fold (beneath the breast), for nearly invisible healing.
Dr. Schultz shapes each result carefully, ensuring symmetry, softness, and balance. Patients return home the same day wearing a supportive garment to protect and stabilize the implants during the early healing process.

RECOVERY AND HEALING
Dr. Schultz provides detailed post-operative guidance to ensure comfort and smooth recovery every step of the way.
DAYS 0-3
Mild swelling and tightness are common. Pain is usually minimal and well controlled with medication.
WEEKS 1-2
Most patients return to light activities and desk work. Swelling and firmness begin to subside.
WEEKS 3-6
Implants settle into their final position as tissues relax. Exercise and lifting can gradually resume after clearance.
MONTHS 3-6
Final results are visible. Breasts feel soft, natural, and proportionate.
